20 kms from the small bustling town of nizwa, we came across to manah, which held a village, deserted in 1971. the streets were lonely, with two storied buildings that ran the risk of falling down any moment, with a mosque pretty much intact and guarded by a lone watch tower.

Very nice!!:nod: Great capture. The title though, I don't know? From what I see, it looks more like time took over, rather than forgot. It seems that since abandoned, nothing elso was left except time. :hmm: Just my humble opinion.

u wonder what would have gone on there a 100 years ago and all the stories that lie buried. an arial shot would have given a good perspective of the entire village. we tried but the structures were too flimsy and could give way. did not want like newspaper headlines to say "expats die in photo shootout."

This is beautiful... it's one of those legendary shots that captures novels of thought within one simple image. The shot itself, too, is perfect. =)
